Frequently asked questions

Is the goal to stop feeling stress at work?

No. The goal is not to eliminate stress but to deal with it calmly, one step at a time.

Is asking my supervisor for help a sign of weakness?

No. Asking for help at the right time is professional behaviour, and asking for support is strength and responsibility.

When should I seek more support than my supervisor?

When stress lasts a long time, affects your sleep, food or daily life, stops you from working safely, or brings strong fear or anger, or chest pain or difficulty breathing. Tell someone you trust, use occupational health if available, speak to a doctor or specialist, and get urgent help if there is danger.
