সচরাচর জিজ্ঞাসিত প্রশ্ন

Should I apologise if I did not cause the problem?

Yes. The deck says apologise when the guest's experience is affected, even if you are not the cause. You apologise for the experience, then check what happened before judging.

Why should I avoid the word "but" in an apology?

Because "but" spoils the apology: it turns it into an excuse. Apologise clearly, then explain the step you will take.

What if the problem was caused by another department?

Apologise for the inconvenience, contact the department, give a clear time for an update, follow up until it is handled and inform your supervisor if the solution is delayed. Never blame the other department.
