Course description

A sincere compliment is a positive human touch: it makes the guest feel appreciated and makes communication warmer. But the same compliment can be misunderstood if it becomes personal or exaggerated. This course, built on the Dyafa Hotels & Resorts training deck, shows where the line is.

You will learn which compliments are safe and which are too personal, four rules for a good compliment, how to respect culture and avoid stereotypes, and simple phrases to say and avoid. The final chapter covers receiving compliments with humility, including what to do if a personal compliment is repeated.

What will i learn?

  • Explain why sincere compliments strengthen the guest experience
  • Distinguish professionally appropriate compliments from ones that are too personal
  • Apply the four rules: sincere, brief, specific and respectful of boundaries
  • Adapt compliments with cultural sensitivity and without stereotypes
  • Receive compliments humbly and return smoothly to service

Requirements

  • No prior training is needed; the course suits any colleague who talks with guests.

Frequently asked question
